If a pull does not fit, nothing else about it matters. Not the finish, not the material, not the price. The number that decides fit is center-to-center (C-C) — the distance between the centres of the two mounting holes. It is the first thing to confirm before any order, and the one number buyers most often get wrong. Below is the full center-to-center range we produce, how to measure it, and how to write it correctly on an enquiry.
What center-to-center actually measures
Center-to-center is measured from the centre of one screw hole to the centre of the other. It is not the length of the pull.
This matters most on long pulls, because the difference is no longer small. Take our longest model, the 967 solid brass oversized pull:
Specification Value
Center-to-center 800 mm (approx. 31-1/2 in)
Overall length 1,000 mm (approx. 39-3/8 in)
Difference 200 mm — the overhang at both ends
A buyer who orders "a 1,000 mm pull" and expects a 1,000 mm hole spacing will be 200 mm out. That single confusion is the most common cause of a rejected shipment on oversized hardware.
How to measure an existing pull in three steps
Remove the pull if you can. Measuring a mounted pull is unreliable — the ends often sit proud of the door face.
Measure hole centre to hole centre, in millimetres where possible. Use a steel rule, not a tape.
Check the screw thread and hole depth on the door. On a long pull, a thread mismatch will not show up until installation.
We confirm screw thread, hole depth and tolerances in writing before every production run, so these three numbers are settled before cutting starts.
The size range
Our catalogue runs from single-hole pulls up to 1,000 mm center-to-center. The values below are the spacings that appear most often in cabinet, wardrobe and furniture work:
Center-to-center (mm) Approx. inches Typical use
Single hole — Knobs, small doors, drawer fronts
96 mm 3-3/4 in Standard drawer fronts
128 mm 5 in Drawers, base cabinet doors
160 mm 6-5/16 in Base cabinet doors
192 mm 7-9/16 in Wide drawer fronts
224 mm 8-13/16 in Drawer fronts, appliance panels
256 mm 10-1/16 in Tall doors
288 mm 11-5/16 in Tall doors, pantry
320 mm 12-5/8 in Tall doors, wardrobe
400 mm 15-3/4 in Wardrobe doors
480 mm 18-7/8 in Wardrobe doors
512 mm 20-1/8 in Wardrobe doors
600 mm 23-5/8 in Wardrobe, sliding doors
800 mm 31-1/2 in Full-height doors
1,000 mm 39-3/8 in Oversized doors, feature panels
Two notes on this table. Millimetres are our specification of record — inch values are conversions for reference, and fractional inches are rounded. And not every model is stocked in every size: each model page on this site states its own available center-to-center values, so always confirm against the model you intend to order.
Single-hole pulls and multi-hole patterns
Not every pull uses two holes.
Single-hole pulls use one bored hole. Models 86410, 86518, HT850 and 6320 are available in single-hole versions alongside their two-hole versions.
Multi-hole patterns are used where a long pull needs more than two fixing points for rigidity — typically three, four, six, seven and eight-hole positioning on full-height and sliding-door hardware.
If your door already has holes drilled to an existing pattern, send us the pattern rather than a single measurement. We produce to drawing, and a hole pattern drawing removes the ambiguity entirely.
How to write it on an enquiry
A specification that cannot be misread looks like this:
Model 967, solid brass, brass natural finish, C-C 800 mm / overall 1,000 mm, quantity 30 pcs, delivery to Chicago.
Four items do the work: model, finish, the two lengths, quantity. Everything else — packaging, lead time, shipping — can be confirmed after.
Minimum order on stock lines is 10–20 pcs per model, which is low enough to order one size, test it on a real door, and only then commit to a second size.
Lead times and quality control
Item Detail
Stock models 7–15 days
Custom sizes and finishes 20–35 days, depending on quantity
Stock samples 1–3 days
Custom samples 7–10 days
Minimum order 10–20 pcs per model on stock lines
Quality control 100% inspection on critical dimensions, AQL 2.5 on appearance
Warranty 1 year against manufacturing defects
Quotation response within 24 hours (GMT+8, Monday to Saturday)
Conclusion
Confirm center-to-center before anything else, then confirm overall length, and only then discuss finish and cost. If you are matching an existing drilled pattern, send the pattern drawing instead of a measurement — it is the only way to remove the risk entirely.
Our range runs from single-hole pulls to 1,000 mm center-to-center, in brass, zinc alloy, aluminium, solid wood and leather-wrapped constructions. Send the model, the finish and the two lengths, and we will confirm availability, lead time and freight within 24 hours.

Q: What does center-to-center mean on a cabinet pull? Center-to-center is the distance from the centre of one mounting hole to the centre of the other. It is not the overall length of the pull. On model 967 the two differ by 200 mm.
Q: What is the most common cabinet pull size? Sizes from 96 mm to 1,000 mm center-to-center are produced in our range. 96 mm and 128 mm are the most widely used on drawer fronts and base cabinet doors. Every model page states its own available spacings.
Q: Can a pull be made to match existing drilled holes? Yes. Send the hole pattern drawing and we produce to that pattern. Screw thread, hole depth and tolerances are confirmed in writing before each production run.
Q: What is the minimum order for one size? 10–20 pcs per model on stock lines.
